Comprehensive Environmental Audit for Ship Dismantling Facility

PES performed an environmental audit of all phases of a large scale on- and off-shore ship dismantling business. PES initially performed a pre-audit evaluation of site operations. Working closely with our client, objectives of the audit were clearly established. An industry- and site-specific environmental questionnaire/audit checklist was developed by PES to assist in the audit. The audit included an assessment of facility activities and evaluating applicable permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements associated with facility operations relating to protection of soil, water, and air. PES also performed a detailed evaluation of the facility’s compliance with hazardous materials handling and storage, bulk material storage practices, asbestos management, PCB management, hazardous waste storage and disposal, air quality, and storm water management for facility operations.
